Position Description
This position assists in the overall operation of the Unit Medication Room at the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe, TX. Employees in this position are responsible for distributing patients' medications from filled prescriptions.
Major/Essential Functions
- Delivers and administers patients their ordered and prescribed medications.
- Within the scope of the specific credential of the team member, will support clinical activities in the health facility under the direction of the facility director and nurse management.
- Actively participates in all assigned training related to the Correctional Medication Aide Program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent and current credential from the Texas Department of State Health Services OR Successful completion of a certified medication aide training course and passage of State exam.
