Position Description
The mental health counselor will be an essential team member of the brand-new, state-of-the-art Relational Health Center. Within this Center, the employee will work within an innovative, stepped-care model that includes outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization mental health services. The employee will work with a team of interdisciplinary clinicians to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, and families. The employee will conduct assessments and provide individual, family, and group therapy services to child and adolescent patients and their caregivers to address various mental health and wellness-related issues.

This is a two-year advanced training position designed to provide post-master's clinical training and professional development. Upon successful completion of the two years, there is potential for a full-time position within the Center based on performance, departmental needs, and available funding.

Major/Essential Functions


Required Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.

Experience: Three (3) years of related experience required.

Current licensure in the State of Texas in one of the following:

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC - A)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) must be working towards LCSW
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate (LMFT-A)
Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)
