Workdays & Hours: 3:00 pm- 11:00 pm; weekend work required.
The incumbent will be assigned to the 2nd shift, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. This position will be required to work weekends, and holidays. Also work in inclement weather as needed. This is a 24-hour 7 day a week operation including weekends and holidays. - Shift Differential Pay: $0.75/hour for 2nd Shift and $1.50/hour for 3rd Shift

A Sr. Data Reporting Technician job is available with the City of Fort Worth Police Department - Data Reporting Unit.
Minimum Qualifications: - HS Diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in customer relations or a related field
- Four (4) years of responsible customer service experience, including one (1) year of administrative and/or lead supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
- Prior law enforcement experience. Minimum 1-year experience in Police Data Reporting Unit preferred.
- Two (2) years plus of high - volume call center, public contact, and data entry.
- Experience in preparing and transcribing reports.
- Knowledge of Central Square's Records Enterprise or RMS, Mobile Enterprise or Visinet, Command Automated Dispatching (CAD) Enterprise, Texas Penal Code, Word, Excel and Outlook
The Sr. Data Reporting Technician job responsibilities include: - Train Probationary Data Reporting Technician in accordance with the standardized Police Data Reporting Unit training program.
- Supervise, direct and coordinate the work of subordinate employees.
- Maintain and update complex computer systems; processing forms, reports and preparing general correspondence: research computer generated files and records.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner; resolve problems within area of assignment; explaining applicable policies and procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate files and records of police offense reports and correspondence.
Working Conditions/Physicals Demands Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Final candidates selected for hire in the
Police Department will be subject to a fingerprint/criminal history background check and polygraph examination.
Applicants must not have used marijuana during the previous two (2) years, nor illegally used any controlled substances within the last five (5) years. Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
