Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated hiring salary is $130,000 - $145,000 per year and is competitive and negotiable depending on the strength of qualifications. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Senior Director of Networks, Unified Communications, and Learning Spaces, provides strategic leadership and oversight for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the University’s network, communications, and classroom technology infrastructure. This role is responsible for aligning technology operations with institutional goals, ensuring resilient and innovative solutions that enable excellence in teaching, learning, and research.

The Senior Director leads and manages the Network Engineering, Field Operations, Classroom Video Services, and Unified Communications teams. These teams design, implement, and sustain the University’s wired and wireless networks, low-voltage and fiber-optic cabling systems, classroom technology installations, and the enterprise Zoom Phone platform. The incumbent establishes strategic priorities, sets performance standards, and ensures the seamless operation, security, and scalability of these critical services.

Serving as a member of the Technology Services leadership team, the Senior Director helps shape campus-wide IT strategy, governance, and financial planning to ensure technology services advance the University’s teaching, learning, research, and administrative priorities. The incumbent establishes strategic direction, fosters innovation, and ensures operational excellence across all service areas.
