Please note : The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed the salary range listed above.

This position is in the Air and Land Section of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and will be located at the Southwest Regional Office, 2040 W. Woodland, Springfield, Missouri.

The Department of Natural Resources will provide you with a career that you can be proud of, protecting the citizens of Missouri and assisting entities in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations. This position is an air pollution, hazardous waste, and solid waste inspector/investigator. You will interact with the public and businesses, ensuring environmental compliance across southwest Missouri. You will work independently and with an amazing team of dedicated staff.



This position is required to obtain and maintain Method 9 certification, 40-hour HAZWOPER training, and yearly certification and potentially fit testing for a respirator. Annual medical monitoring will be provided.
