Role Description

This position is responsible for authorizing services, determining eligibility, building capacity within a network of community providers, collaborating with specialized teams to oversee provider quality and ensure the health and safety of individuals served by the system. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrate leadership and provide supervision to professional, technical, and frontline staff. Collaborate with key partners to develop and implement short and long-range plans that meet established objectives and contribute to the overall goals and mission of the Division. Clear and effective communicator. Manage Regional Office budget, interpret and enforce regulatory requirements. Must be able to interpret, analyze, and use data to measure performance and make decisions. Strong problem solver. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.

Job Duties

• Promote and maintain positive working relationships with staff and community stakeholders including but not limited to:
  • Individuals served by the Division
  • All State of Missouri Agencies
  • Private, Targeted Case Management entities
  • Contracted Division Service Providers
  • Department State Operated Facilities
  • Public Administrators and other legally responsible persons
  • Hospitals and Community Behavioral Health Clinics
• Directly supervise assigned team members.
• Implement initiatives of the Division and Department
• Participate in professional and staff development
• Enforce regulatory requirements
• Approve and/or deny Division service requests
• Attend and/or testify on behalf of the Division concerning appeals for eligibility and Division services.
• Serve as the determiner for abuse and neglect investigations.
• Serve as the chief executive for local focus reviews
• Participate in mortality reviews
• Approve the initiation and removal of all performance improvement plans for contracted community providers.
• Initiate and petition the Division for the approval of exceptions not otherwise delineated in the current versions of applicable guidance when appropriate.
• Serve as the local facility lead for the Regional Office.
• Travel to Jefferson City or other parts of the state as needed for meetings.
• Keep Division leadership apprised of the status and needs of the region.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of professional experience in mental health, education, social services, public administration, or a closely related area with at least five years of that experience being in a leadership capacity directing programs and services for persons with developmental disabilities.

Salary:

111,907.12 per Year
