Larimer County is located in north central Colorado, encompassing 2,634 square miles and a population of about 371,000 residents. It is known for its lovely geography (Rocky Mountains, rivers, foothills), year-round outdoor activities (300 days of sunshine!), Colorado State University, and welcoming communities.

The health department’s Senior Emergency Preparedness & Response (EPR) Program is actively engaged in collaborating with government agencies, healthcare organizations, and community partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters, technological failures, manmade crises, public health emergencies, and acts of terrorism. The Program also manages a new branch of the Rocky Mountain Medical Reserve Corps, and oversees the Health & Medical Services Branch (HMSB, formerly known as ESF-8) in the Larimer Regional EOC during disasters. The Senior EPR coordinator will also be responsible for direct supervision of 1 employee.

The standard work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. During the initial six-month probationary period, the individual hired may telework up to one day per week, if business needs allow. After successfully completing the probationary period, the individual may telework up to two days per week, depending on business plans and operational needs.
