The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will provide a wide variety of general office support and receptionist duties such as answering telephones, providing information, documenting calls; performing data entry, receiving inquiries and responding, assisting internal and external contacts; resolving problems or referring inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

SCHEDULE:

Hours of this position are from 7:00a.m. to 5:30p.m. Monday - Thursday. Due to the nature of the role, this position is required to be in office.

COMPENSATION:

Hiring Range: $21.64 - $25.97 USD Hourly

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The customer service representative will be able to:

• Answer phone lines for the division and greet clients and customers in a professional and friendly manner while addressing questions which pertain to building, planning, and engineering permits.
• Pull files and answer customers' questions. Make copies or scans as requested.
• Process various forms of payment for requested customer copies and permits.
• Prepare signs, postcards, letters and documents as needed, manage and stock office supplies, prepare mailings, perform data entry, manage files, and other administrative duties as required.
• Close register and prepare deposits.
• Assisting other administrative personnel with special projects and back up support.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year of work-related experience as an administrative assistant, office assistant or customer service representative.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificate.
• Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Two or more years of experience as an administrative assistant, office assistant, customer service representative, or related field.
• Highly organized andextreme attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and manage various responsibilities.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Prior experience in Planning and Zoning or Building Safety.
• Prior cash-handling experience.
