The PositionThe Treasurer/Tax Collector office is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to fill the demanding position of
Senior Account Clerk - Treasurer/Tax Collector, where you will ensure the integrity of our financial operations
The Senior Account Clerk - Treasurer/Tax Collector performs highly responsible working financial and clerical procedures to assume significant clerical responsibilities in an assigned financial area; maintain financial and statistical records and prepare reports; and serve as a lead worker in a section or work unit as assigned.
This position operates within the property tax division and will perform various tasks related to the billing, collecting and reporting of Napa County property taxes including working with taxpayers to resolve tax issues on their properties, helping with lot line adjustments, tax receipts and deposit preparation, and related duties as assigned.
This recruitment is being conducted to fill one full-time vacancy in the Treasury or Tax Unit of the Treasurer-Tax Collector Department. The list established by this recruitment may be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:
Experience:Three years of significant, directly related, and progressive experience in financial record-keeping work.
Education:Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, including or supplemented by training in accounting or a related subject.
License or Certificate: *Certain positions assigned to this class may require possession of a valid California Driver's License.
*Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e., active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County. For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.
