Job Description

Location : 1524 Chuckwa Dr., Durant, OK 74701

Salary : up to $70,000, based on education and experience

Full Time /Part Time : Full time

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday

Primary Hours : 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Position Description: The Community Engagement and Health Planning Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and implementation across the district for community engagement and public health planning efforts. This role leads district-wide coalition building, CHA/CHIP cycles, public health project development, health promotion program facilitation, and grant administration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requirements at this level consist of a master’s degree and four (4) years of professional experience in a government or non-profit environment; or a bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of professional experience in a government or non-profit environment.

Skills required at this level include skill in analyzing complex situations and making responsible decisions; leading or facilitating diverse groups; and communicating in written and oral form. Abilities required include the ability to support and debrief other employees in difficult situations; assist lower-level staff in problem solving and decision-making; resolve conflicts; and lead or facilitate groups; and build and maintain a positive team environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and

exposure to moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of the job, employees are

required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long

period of sitting and daily use of computer and phone. Employees must be willing to complete all job-related travel associated with this position. Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
