Job Description

Salary : up to $70,000, based on education and experience

Full Time /Part Time : Full time

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday

Primary Hours : 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Position Description: The Community Engagement and Health Planning Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and implementation across the district for community engagement and public health planning efforts. This role leads district-wide coalition building, CHA/CHIP cycles, public health project development, health promotion program facilitation, and grant administration.

Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Lead district-level CHA and CHIP processes, including stakeholder engagement, assessment design, and plan implementation.
  
• Oversee multiple large-scale public health projects and initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment and measurable outcomes.
  
• Develop and monitor budgets for multiple community engagement and planning programs.
  
• Lead high-level partnership development efforts with government agencies, private sector, and nonprofit organizations.
  
• Ensure effective communication strategies to promote public health priorities and wellness campaigns across the district.
  
• Advise leadership on strategic planning and policy development based on emerging health trends and community needs.
  
• Oversee grant management, including grant writing, reporting, evaluation, and compliance monitoring.
  
• Possible Supervision of Coordinators and Specialists across multiple counties and program areas.
  
• Being present in the office is an essential function of this job

• Assist with grant writing and implementation as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requirements at this level consist of a master’s degree and four (4) years of professional experience in a government or non-profit environment; or a bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of professional experience in a government or non-profit environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and

exposure to moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of the job, employees are

required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long

period of sitting and daily use of computer and phone. Employees must be willing to complete all job-related travel associated with this position. Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
