MSC Range 7 ; Full-time/Exempt; 40 hours per week; 12 months per year

Position is contingent on grant funding. Grant currently funded through June 30, 2028.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Native American Center at Butte College supports self-identified Native American students by promoting educational success, developing leaders, and increasing the number of mentors to empower future generations.

The Supervisor, Retention Specialist for the Native American Center develops, implements, and evaluates activities designed to increase student retention, persistence, and completion for the Native American student population at Butte College. The Supervisor, Retention Specialist also provides guidance and support for students who need assistance staying on track for degree completion.

This position will help to enhance student success by offering various programs and services that include personal coaching, on-going support and follow-up, developmental workshops, degree progress consultations, and referrals to other on- and off-campus resources. The Supervisor, Retention Specialist will provide direct supervision to assigned departmental staff and student employees within the Native American Center.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Over the summer the schedule changes to Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Friday off. As an exempt position, hours may vary based on departmental needs.
