Duties:
Brief Description:
The Fiscal Specialist supports the Board of County Commissioners, County Administrator, and Department Directors in long-range financial planning, budget preparation, and operational analysis. This position oversees fiscal operations, develops capital and operating financial plans, and ensures efficient, cost-effective management of departmental resources. This position also provides technical assistance to Elected Officials and collaborates with departments to implement performance management and reporting programs.
Job Prerequisites:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field plus a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in financial management, accounting or related field.

Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications):

Previous experience in fiscal management, performance management and process improvement programs. Demonstrated experience with public and/or private sector initiatives in government structure, operations, functions and practices. Must possess excellent integrity and teamwork. Valid Ohio driver’s license.
Compensation:
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually
