Performs skilled and semi-skilled supervisory work involving the daily maintenance, repair, and preparation of tennis courts and grounds at the Orlando Tennis Centre (OTC), which includes 11 Har-Tru (clay) courts and 6 hard courts. Work involves the use of specialized court maintenance equipment and techniques to ensure all courts meet professional playing standards. Responsibilities include daily grooming, rolling, and dragging of Har-Tru courts; cleaning and maintaining hard court surfaces; line sweeping and repair; irrigation and drainage management; and upkeep of landscaped and spectator areas surrounding the courts.

The employee in this position is responsible for leading and training part-time and seasonal maintenance staff, maintaining court maintenance equipment, coordinating with supervisors on scheduling and tournament preparation, and ensuring all courts and grounds are safe, clean, and playable. Work requires a high degree of physical activity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Functions:



Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED; two (2) years of experience in tennis court and grounds maintenance, including Har-Tru and hard court surfaces required; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and during tournaments or special events. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and pulling. Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to lead and train maintenance staff. Florida Restricted Pesticide License preferred. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
