DD Incident Management Specialist

*Typical working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.*

Hybrid Work Schedules/Flexible Schedules/No On-call

Job Location:

This position can be domiciled at the Albany Satellite Regional Office, 809 North 13th, Albany, MO 64402, or the St. Joseph Satellite Regional Office, 525 Jules, St. Joseph, MO 64501. This role requires travel to onsite visits with provider agencies.

Inquiry Coordinator conducts inquiries in order to substantiate allegations, suspicions or complaints of abuse, neglect, human rights violations or misuse of funds against individuals served by the Department of Mental Health.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the following:



This position requires effective communication skills, including the use of tact and diplomacy in verbal and written interactions to foster professional working relationships with staff, community agencies, individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, and other stakeholders within and outside the department. What you'll do:



Minimum qualifications:

Six years of experience or Bachelor’s degree and three or more years' experience or an Associates' degree with four to eight years of experience preferred.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Experience in gathering and analyzing information related to abuse, neglect, misuse of funds or property. Experience conducting interviews as part of investigations, including law enforcement investigations, summarizing findings, and communicating results. Strong Investigation skills, including those related to law enforcement, are highly desirable. Interviewing experience is preferred. Ability to read, decipher, and articulate statutes, regulations, and legal guidelines clearly and effectively.
