Job Description:

Purpose:

Under direction of the Information Security Office (ISO), this position promotes, supports, and implements the City’s Information Security Program as a senior member.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of related experience. Graduation with a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for experience up to two (2) years. Experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years. Industry certifications may be considered as substitution for education.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Utilize advanced technical expertise to enhance network security and segmentation architecture, developing and implementing data security measures to protect IT and OT systems from cyber threats. Responsibilities include managing network security infrastructure, performing continuous monitoring, and proactively adjusting security controls to ensure the safety and integrity of the airport’s critical systems.

SALARY:

$91,080 - $117,000

ASSESSMENT:

A skills assessment will be required for this position.

TRAVEL:

If you are selected for this position, and meet the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Safety Program, you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.

Must have the ability to read, write, and fluently speak in English.

Position may require on-call or call back responsibilities.

WORK HOURS:

Core Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours may change depending on departmental needs.

Work hours may include after-hours, holidays, and weekend work.
