The Position

The City of Riverside, Public Utilities Department (RPU) is accepting applications for the position of UTILITIES ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE WATER ENGINEER to fill one (1) vacancy in the Water Engineering Division. The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months.

Under direct general supervision, the Utilities Assistant Water Engineer performs supervisory and/or professional water engineering work in the design, investigation, and construction of water utility projects and performs related work, as required.

Pay Ranges (Tier 2/3):

Utilities Assistant Water Engineer: $41.95/hr. - $50.98/hr.

Utilities Associate Water Engineer: $49.69/hr. - $66.58/hr.

Qualifications

Qualifications for Utilities Assistant Water Engineer:
Education : A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or in a closely related field.

Experience : One (1) year of experience in professional water utility or related engineering work.

Education : A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or in a closely related field.

Experience : Two (2) year of experience in professional water utility or related engineering work.
