Job Description:

Purpose:

Under general direction, oversees the daily operations for the skilled and complex tasks related to the collection, installation, programming, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of solar powered, computer-based electronic multi-space and single-space meters.

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised:

Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal.

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

Notes to Candidate:

The Parking Meter Technician Supervisor will work in the Parking Enterprise Division of Austin Transportation and Public Works. This position will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of the on-street metered parking systems. Job duties will include evaluating and training employees, collection, and reconciliation of revenues, planning and installation of parking meters. This position will entail developing and evaluating short- and long-range strategies, goals, and action plans to meet the business needs of the Parking Enterprise Division. This position will need to develop comprehensive and detailed reports by compiling, reviewing, and analyzing data and be responsible for scheduling work shifts to ensure proper coverage for business needs. This position will be responsible for a full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal.

The following abilities are required to be successful in this position:


Pay Rate: $26.86 - $32.43 per hour.

Location: 1501 Toomey Road, Austin, TX, 78704.

Hours: Monday - Friday 5am - 1:30pm

Hours may vary depending on departmental needs and initiatives.
