We are looking for a control room operator to operate a multi camera system with production switcher and robotic controlled cameras. Each studio (meeting room) has between 4 and 10 cameras. The operator will provide Live coverage during government meetings, most set up are in hearings type layout. Other events include news conferences, specialty events and training events. This position will operate audio for broadcast only, riding controls for nominal volumes. Additional responsibilities include operating CG; opening title, lower thirds, closing and credits, with specialty needs occurring regularly.

Purpose:

Under general supervision, performs technical work in the production of creative and non-creative video and audio presentations for training, communications, and public information.

Location and Hours:

City Hall 301 W 2nd St, Austin, TX
Work hours and days will vary, but up to 20 hours per week. ATXN Operations cover events almost daily between 8am and 11pm. Schedules are determined by the weekly planned event and can be outside regular work times or last minute.

Driving Requirement:

This position requires a valid Texas Driver License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin's Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requisite . To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months.

$24.67 - 29.97/hour
