HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: This is a position for the Motor Vehicle and Driver Licensing Division, Driver License Bureau, accountable for assisting bureau managers and administrator in the ongoing direction of the Department’s Vision, Mission, and Values. This position will perform administrative, analysis, auditing, and/or evaluation in support of the Department’s Third-Party Tester and other commercial driver licensing programs and operations. In addition to Third Party Tester program administrative functions this position will further support Driver License Bureau projects and data-to-day operations of the Department. This is a state and federal compliance focused, detail-oriented position with opportunities for professional development and developing external contacts and knowledge.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: - Conduct on site assessments of contracted Third Party Test (TPT) sites and recordkeeping for program compliance.
- Collaborate with external partners such as MSHP and MO Safety Center to complete additional assessments and onboarding/refresher trainings.
- Present audit findings found in on-site and MSHP reported site/examiner findings.
- Process and organize all Third-Party Testing sites annual renewal paperwork, background checks and MSHP audit reports.
- Provide oversight for the Commercial Skills Test Information Management System (CSTIMS) user accounts for both state and third party examiners, administrative staff, and internal support staff.
- Assign and review work to assigned teams.
- Develop and update training materials and administer training as part of examiner onboarding.
- Review and or revise programs to ensure compliance of operations with laws regulations, policies, plans, and procedures.
- Participate in the development, implementation, or interpretation of new or revised program, departmental, or legislative initiatives including Fiscal Note(s).
- Compose correspondence to answer complex inquiries and initiate actions resulting from research and administrative decision(s).
- Write reports based on findings and communicate findings to key team members.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively by phone or email to internal and external customers, including state and federal compliance agencies.
- Plan, develop and implement projects including writing business cases, business decision documents, business decision requirements and workplans.

QUALIFICATIONS: - Possession of a high school diploma, or high school equivalency certificate
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification (Substitutions may be allowed)
- Knowledge of research methods and analysis; and statistical software
- Ability to perform basic queries and analysis of data
- Organized, methodical approach to problem-solving
- Project management knowledge and skills is considered an asset

Salary:
$58,669.20 per Year
