RoleYavapai County Elections Department is seeking an Elections Office TechnicianJoin our dynamic Elections Department as an Elections Office Technician, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting election operations through a variety of administrative, technical, and clerical tasks. Major Duties, Responsibilities- Participates in recruiting, interviewing, and training poll workers and seasonal staff.
- Develops seasonal staff education program and curriculum
- Processes documents.
- Maintains databases for election related activities..
- Leads seasonal employees.
- Communicates election information to various stakeholders by answering questions, explaining programs, and resolving complaints regarding election laws and procedures.
- Performs general office duties , including ordering supplies, processing invoices, filing, and providing customer service.
- Assists in developing policies, procedures, and long-term strategies.
- Prepares detailed recommendations to management about new or modified laws, regulations, or policies.
- Acts as department web liaison and prepares, maintains, and updates Internet/Intranet web content information and ensures proper and timely publication.
- Supervises and staffs specific election related duties
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in general office administration.
Additional Requirements:Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must be a registered voter of Yavapai County.
Certified Arizona Election Officer (A.R.S. § 16-407) attainable within two (2) years of hire.
