Supervisory positions at this level are accountable for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of databases or data integrations for assigned organizational areas. An incumbent typically manages a small team of data management staff and/or databases or data integrations of lesser complexity and/or risk and impact. The focus is on the adaptation and maintenance of existing databases. Additional duties include mentoring application development staff, which may include vendor staff.

This position reports directly to the Database Manager of the State Data Center. This position will be responsible for supervising the SQL Server Database Services within the State Data Centers. The products this team supports are SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Reporting Services. You will oversee the day-to-day activities of your team, ensuring system availability, proactive capacity management, and timely resolution of incidents. In addition, you may perform technical operations alongside your team to stay connected with the tools, platforms and processes they manage.



This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), supporting the State Data Center (SDC).
