Please note : The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.

This position will be located at Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Grand Glaize Beach/Pa He Tsi 731 Public Beach Rd, Osage Beach, MO 65065. Shift is Monday through Friday (five 8-hour days per week), 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (30-minute lunch break). Shifts may vary with the time of year and to meet the needs of the facility. This position will require working regular weekends and occasional nights, holidays, and special events, etc. Must be available to participate in meetings, workshops and seminars requiring overnight stays.

• Responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, natural resource stewardship, and repair of state buildings and facilities.
• Work in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete, and masonry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair in settings such as facilities, grounds, and cemeteries.
• Routine cleaning of park buildings, restrooms, campsites, and park grounds.
• Maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license to operate and maintain licensed vehicles, as well as tractors, mowers, skid steer, and other grounds related equipment.
• Operate and maintain lawn mowers, tractors, skid loader, trucks, chainsaws, leaf blowers, and similar mechanical equipment.
• Assist with prescribed burns, wildfire suppression, herbicide application, and other natural or cultural activities as directed with the completion of Level 1 Prescribed Fire training.
• Be able to walk long distances on uneven terrain in all kinds of weather and environmental conditions and can lift 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
• May also oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks.
• Some weekend shifts are required during events (3-4 times per year).

• This position may be required to obtain and maintain appropriate commercial operator’s license (CDL-A), water/wastewater certifications (DS1) and/or other required licenses/certification. If required and if you do not currently possess this license/certification, you will be given six months to obtain necessary license/certification.

• Physical Strength and Agility : Ability to bend, lift, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time; ability to perform moderately heavy laboring work.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

• 1 - 3 years of experience in any of the following trade areas: electrical, plumbing, concrete and masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair.
