JOB SUMMARY
The Small Engine Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining small tool and related engine equipment, both gas and diesel. Maintains equipment inventory and equipment maintenance records.

Gas & Pneumatic tools including:


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical requirements include lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Subject to pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, carrying, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, balancing, handling, fingering and working in cramped and strained positions for long periods of time to perform job scope. Requires visual acuity, speech and hearing.

Working conditions are in a shop environment and outside elements with exposure to rain/humid conditions, extreme heat, hot fluids, high noise levels, hazardous chemicals, fuel/exhaust fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, vibration, snakes, poisonous insects, traffic, rugged terrain and construction sites. Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.

May be required to work hours other than regular daytime hours such as rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays and on-call.
