Description

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - South is looking for a positive and energetic Stores & Warehouse Assistant. This position plays a vital role in the daily operations of the Material Management Department.

• Supervising the storeroom, maintenance of records, and in receiving, marking, storing, and delivering supplies and equipment throughout the facility
• Orders supplies, parts, and equipment using established specifications to replenish stock based on pre-determined inventory levels and re-order points
• Assist in developing efficient storekeeping methods and procedures
• Receives shipments from vendors and inspects for quality and quantity; refers major decisions regarding non-conformance with specifications to a designated supervisor
• Assists a higher-ranking Stores/Warehouse Assistant in a major area (receiving, purchasing, storage, and issuance) in a large and complex warehouse/storekeeping operation by developing orders, and preparing and maintaining inventory and other records
• Operates specialized equipment such as forklifts, and motorized or hydraulic jacks
• Exercises independence in the performance of duties under general supervision
• Performs other related work as assigned

• Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Ability to use a computer
• Possess a valid driver’s license
