Hospital Environmental Services Manager to manage the hospital's environmental services and linen operations to maintain a sanitary and attractive hospital. This position is responsible for the supervision, staffing, budget, policies and procedures of the environmental services and linen departments and conducts regular, ongoing inspections of the premises to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ARMC, which is owned and operated by San Bernardino County, is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university-affiliated teaching medical center featuring the newest in technology in the field of patient care. ARMC is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing more than 90,000 annual visits, a Level I Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and four Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). The FHCs offer comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all age groups. The FHCs are staffed with experienced attending physicians and resident physicians from the Medical Center. ARMC is a Primary Stroke Center and has a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA with over 2800 births per year. The Neonatal Intensive Care is a 30 bed Community California Children's Services certified unit.

Summary of Benefits Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history and education verification, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four-hour facility; some shifts include weekends and holidays. Applicants
must indicate availability for day, swing, night, rotating, weekends, and holidays. Shift differentials are provided. Shift Differentials may apply.
Physical: This job may require frequent reaching, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighing 10 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and the ability to move 80 pound containers.
Environment: Working conditions involve exposure to chemicals, infectious materials, heat, and odors.

Minimum RequirementsCandidates must meet
one of the following options:
OPTION 1: Two (2) years of full-time experience managing or supervising the environmental services operations of an acute care hospital, or health care organization.
-OR- OPTION 2: Three (3) years of full-time experience managing environmental services staff in a corrections environment or multi-building hotel, resort or institutional environment with a minimum of 100 full-time employees.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate has four (4) years experience managing the environmental services department in a large acute care hospital which includes responsibility for linen services.
