Description

This position will serve under the direction of the Metro East Region-Chief of Adult Community Operations within the Division of Behavioral Health (DBH). The Program Specialist will assist the Chief of Adult Community Operations with oversight of Department of Mental Health (DMH) contracted providers and services, trainings, program monitoring, contracts, technical assistance, reporting, and program development. An important role of this position is the development of relationships and collaboration with state agencies and other stakeholders.

This position is domiciled at the DMH Dome building located at 5400 Arsenal Street, 4th floor, St. Louis, MO, 63139.

This position may require travel and overnight stays as necessary.

The base salary offered for this position is up to $56,500.08 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting.



Eligibility:

A master’s degree in a health-related discipline (i.e., Public Health, Psychology, Community Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or closely related field) and two or more years of professional experience in the treatment, case management, or preventative services of persons with a mental health, substance use disorder, developmental disability, or related professional experience is preferred.

OR

A bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the treatment/case management of individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis, substance use disorder or developmental disability.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
