Job Description

Location: Tulsa - 5100 E Skelly Dr

Salary:

Level II: The annual salary for this position is up to $63,000.00 based on education and experience.

Level III: The annual salary for this position is up to $66,205.00 based on education and experience.

Full Time /Part Time: Full Time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Primary Hours: 8-5

Position Description:

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing patients diagnostic and therapeutic services in the areas of speech and language development which may include help with social communication, speech sounds, and feeding/swallowing. Services are provided in the child’s natural environment; settings in which children typically spend time, for example, home or childcare. Services include screenings, evaluations, intervention, and parent education.

Level III: Include all duties of Level II plus, this is a specialist level where incumbents are assigned responsibilities involving advanced level technical duties in Speech-Language Pathology. Incumbents at this level perform as consultants to other Speech-Language Pathologists and may be designated lead workers for other employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position and possess a valid driver’s license.

Level II: This is the career level where incumbents perform professional duties as a fully certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Incumbents at this level are not assigned supervisory responsibilities, but may provide training and technical assistance to others.

Requirements at this level consist of completion of a Master’s degree in in speech pathology, including academic and practicum requirements for certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and licensed by the State of Oklahoma.

Level III: Master’s degree in speech pathology and Certification as a SLP by the American SL-Hearing Association plus three years of post-certification experience as a SLP in a clinical specialty or in an educational setting.

Valued Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the pathology of communication disorders; phonetics; of the anatomy and physiology of the speech and hearing function; and of diagnostic testing and treatment techniques for communication disorders. Ability is required to discuss communication disorders with various treatment professionals and families; to plan and execute treatment programs; and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Combination of office, vehicle, and public establishments with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of the job, employees are required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long period of sitting and daily use of computers and phones. Employees must be willing to complete all job-related travel associated with this position. Being present in office is an essential function of this position.
