An Administrative Technician job is available with the City of Fort Worth Library in the
Library Operations Center. The Admin Technician will be responsible for coordinating maintenance and emergency repairs for all Fort Worth Public Library facilities. This team member will ensure the library buildings and equipment are structurally sound, safe, and comfortable for patrons and staff.
Minimum Qualifications: - Associate Degree from an accredited college with major course work in Business, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Office Administration, or related field
- Two years of clerical and administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications: - Customer service experience
- Property management experience
- English or Bilingual
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills
The Administrative Technician job responsibilities include: - Identifying and submitting service requests for library buildings and facility maintenance daily. This includes monitoring work orders in sharepoint and following up with Property Management using vueworks.
- Coordinating with library staff and other departments to ensure smooth operations and address maintenance needs by visiting libraries for routine quarterly inspections.
- Managing incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries daily to weekly.
- Assisting with library event setup and tear down.
- Coordinating, scheduling, and overseeing vendors performing work at library facilities
- Reporting routine maintenance and repairs using city software.
Working Conditions and Physical Demand Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
