DESCRIPTION These positions are “at-will” and non-benefited, and limited to 1,000 hours in a fiscal year (July 1st through June 30th). The salary and work schedule may vary based upon assignment.

The City of Ukiah is hiring caring, responsible, and enthusiastic individuals to serve as youth staff for the After School Education and Safety (ASES) and Summer Day Camp programs. These positions are ideal for high school and college students who enjoy working with children and want a fun, meaningful job that builds leadership and life skills.

- Summer Camp Staff

- Site Supervisors
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and engage children in grades TK-8.
- Lead games, crafts, sports, homework help, and enrichment activities.
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor.
- Ensure participant safety and follow program procedures.
- Communicate with parents, staff, and supervisors.
- Assist with set-up, clean-up, and daily program operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTSQualifications:
- Minimum age: 16 years old.
- Enjoy working with children and youth.
- Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills.
- Responsible, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Ability to be active and outdoors for extended periods.
- First Aid/CPR certification (training provided).
- Prior childcare, babysitting, or volunteer experience helpful but not required.

This process may include a variety of techniques designed to test applicants’ knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job. $18.00 - $28.00 Hourly
