GENERAL DESCRIPTION : Come help us build better outside this summer! Under the direction of the Program Manager within the Design Project Management Branch, this summer internship position is an opportunity to work with practicing professional architects, landscape architects and engineers on projects for multiple divisions within Texas Parks and Wildlife (State Parks, Wildlife, Fisheries, Law Enforcement). The work of this position will be geared to the selected applicant's skillset and may include architectural and/or engineering design work, 3d rendering, work on design guidelines for common building types (Headquarters, Restrooms, Bunkhouses), Sharepoint web design, and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education :
Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college or university or recent graduate with a bachelor's degree or higher within the last 6 months.
Minimum of 18 completed semester credit hours from an accredited college or university at time of application.
Must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 grade point scale or "Pass" on a Pass/Fail system.
Experience :
None required.
Licensure :
Must possess a valid state driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education :
Currently in pursuit degree path in Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architecture or closely related
Field, as determined by the Hiring Manager.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to conduct work activities in accordance with TPWD safety program.
WORKING CONDITIONS Internship duration and work week schedule to be mutually determined by supervisor and intern.
Required to work overtime as necessary.
May required to travel 5% of the time with possible overnight stays.
Required to conform to TPWD dress and grooming standards, work rules and safety procedures.
