Description
DescriptionThe Modesto Irrigation District is currently recruiting to fill one part-time temporary hourly-intermittent Student Intern, up to 40 hours per week for the summer, in the Regulatory Department, General Manager Division. Student Interns can expect to work in a variety of special projects during the term of his/her internship.
Examples of Duties
Potential projects during the internship include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in tracking legislation at the state and federal levels.
- Analyze and prepare summaries of legislation.
- Draft letters of position on legislation.
- Observe the legislative process, hearings and proceedings.
- Prepare fact sheets.
Typical Qualifications
Typical qualifications may include:
- Enrolled in a four-year college or university. Preference will be given to upper class applicants or recent college graduates planning to attend graduate school.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
