San Mateo County Health is excited to be able to offer a unique job opportunity to well-qualified individuals for the position of Supervising Nurse Practitioner (Supervising NP) Daly City Clinic, as part of San Mateo Medical Center's Outpatient Primary Care Clinics. This is a full-time, benefited position.

SMMC is seeking a Supervising Nurse Practitioner to lead the Daly City Clinic, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing comprehensive primary care services to nearly 7,000 patients. This clinic offers adult, pediatric, podiatry, and dental care, with integrated behavioral health, social work, and pharmacist support. The Supervising Nurse Practitioner will work alongside a highly skilled team to ensure patient-centered and data-driven healthcare delivery. The Supervising Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with the Medical Director in planning, organizing and directing the activities and staff of the Daly City Clinic, and developing standards for primary care service lines. This classification is distinguished from the Nurse Practitioner Series for having full administrative supervisory responsibility over other Nurse Practitioners. The selected individual will spend up to 60% of time in direct patient care at SMMC.

Departmental Promotional Only. Only current County of San Mateo employees in the Health Department with at least six months (1040 hours) of continuous service in a classified regular, probationary, Confidential and Management extra-help/limited term, and SEIU or AFSCME represented extra help/limited term positions prior to the final filing date may apply.

The examination will consist of an interview (weight: 100%). Depending on the number of applicants an application appraisal of education and experience may be used in place of other examinations or a screening committee may select those applicants whose education and/or experience appear to best meet the needs of the position based solely on the information provided in the application materials. Because of this screening process, all applicants meeting the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed advancement through any subsequent phase of the examination . All examinations will be given in San Mateo County, California, and applicants must participate at their own expense.
