Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year of customer service experience
- Valid Texas Driver’s License Upon Hire
- Texas food handler’s certificate within 90 days
Position Overview:
Under basic supervision, provides retail customer services to the public.
Essential Functions :
- Provides prompt and courteous cashier and retail services to the public; processes fees for admissions and/or retail food service; duties may vary according to job assignment.
- Maintains cash and fund accounts and records; prepares and serves food and maintains cleanliness standards; performs duties within scope of authority and training and in compliance with City policies.

- Actively contributes to positive guest experiences
- Operates a City utility vehicle throughout zoo grounds to support daily operations, including transporting retail supplies, food service items, and sanitation materials between designated locations and ensures timely delivery and pickup of materials needed for admissions, retail, and food service functions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Supports the relationship between the City of Waco and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with residents, visitors, and City staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information
