Description

The Position

The City of Riverside, Department of Marketing & Communications is accepting applications for the position of Web Designer/Developer II to fill one (1) vacancy. The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months.

Under general supervision, the Web Designer/Developer II is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of a wide variety of responsive ADA websites and digital assets for public information and promotional materials. The Web Designer/Developer II designs UI (User Interface) for web and performs technical and analytical duties related to development, operation, and maintenance of the City of Riverside internal and public-facing websites and the Drupal Content Management System (Drupal CMS).

Qualifications

Education :
High School graduation or satisfactory equivalent (GED)and completion of 30 semester, or 45 quarter units in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Graphics, or Web Design or related field from an accredited college or university.

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.

Experience :
Three years of experience in the consulting, design, development, and maintenance of various web sites.
