The Job

This recruitment is only open to current County of San Bernardino, Fire Department, or Special Districts employees who hold a regular, contract, extra-help, recurrent, Public Service Employee, Work Experience Program (WEX) or intern position. Former PSE, WEX, or interns are eligible to apply up to 6 months from the end of their assignment.

Human Services is recruiting for a Quality Review Supervisor who supervises a unit engaged in various types of specialized public assistance casework such as Earnings Clearance (Income and Eligibility Verification System Integrated Fraud Detection- IFD IEVS), Quality Control, Overpayments, Quality Assurance, etc. Quality Review Supervisors also review work of subordinates to verify completeness and accuracy, and hold group or individual conferences with staff to discuss or interpret rules, regulations, and policies.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting, and verification of employment history and education.

Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. Incumbents will be required to make provision for transportation. A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be provided and maintained for the individual providing the transportation.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units of completed college coursework in behavioral/social science or business/public administration. A list of completed college coursework must be submitted with the application if the candidate does not possess an Associate's degree or higher in one of the qualifying fields listed above.

-AND-

Experience: Two (2) years of experience as an Eligibility Worker Supervisor -OR- Three (3) years of experience as an Eligibility Worker III and/or Quality Review Specialist. Experience must have been attained within the last four (4) years and in a California Department of Social Services.

Substitution: An additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for a maximum of eight (8) semester (12 quarter) units of required coursework.
