Are you passionate about enhancing community engagement through fun and rewarding recreational activities? The Dewey Community Center is looking for an enthusiastic Seasonal Recreation Aide to join our team! In this role, you will play a key part in planning, supporting, and promoting a variety of recreational activities and events for our residents. Responsibilities include assisting with activity setup and coordination, maintaining recreational equipment and facilities in safe and clean condition, and helping create a welcoming and engaging environment for all participants.

Job Summary
Under close supervision, assists in the delivery of City recreation programs and events.

Qualifications
Required

• Valid Texas Driver’s License

Preferred:

• High School diploma or GED

Essential Functions

• Provides and promotes recreation activities and events for City residents; sets up recreation sites and facilities for events and scheduled programs; maintains equipment and facilities in clean and safe condition; duties may vary according to job assignment.
• Organizes recreation activities, supervises program participants, and enforces rules, regulations and safety precautions at indoor and outdoor facilities; maintains discipline, monitors behavior and resolves issues.
• Develops promotional media for events and special programs; tutors’ youth and assists with schoolwork.
• Reports and resolves complaints, requests, safety conditions, security issues and illegal activities.
• Operates a City vehicle to transport program participants to and from community events or recreational activities.
