Job Summary

Are you a people person who loves sports? Are you looking for a summer job that will put you where the action is? The City of Olathe is looking for part-time seasonal workers to provide great customer service at the concessions stands for our sports fields. If you'd like to contribute to a great experience for fans attending city sporting events this is the summer job you've been looking for!

The Concessions Worker is a customer-facing position assisting with concessions and, depending on location, other related responsibilities such as admissions, or a rotation between concessions and admissions. The work encompasses responsibilities such as selling food & drinks, collecting money, and verifying memberships while also maintaining a clean, sanitized work environment and monitoring food & drink inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Greets customers and provides excellent customer service.
  
• Answers inquiries and provides information about admission prices and concession offerings.
  
• Ensures a smooth and organized entry process for customers, including accurate collection of fees and other payments.
  
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in the concession area.
  
• Monitors and restocks concession inventory and report shortages.
  

Qualifications

Experience: This job requires the ability to follow accurate money-handling procedures.

Education: None required.

Licenses & Certifications: None required. Employees can receive free CPR Certification once hired.

Language: Proficiency with verbal and written English language required. Additional proficiency with Spanish and American Sign Language preferred.

Environmental or Physical Demands : Works in primarily outdoor environments with exposure to heat and a variety of weather conditions.
