Job Summary
The City of Olathe is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Fitness Floor Attendant to join our team at the community center. The Fitness Floor Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the fitness area, assisting members with equipment usage, and providing excellent customer service. This part-time role is vital in ensuring that all community center members have positive and productive experiences during their workouts.
AVAILABILITY NEEDED: Afternoons, evenings and weekends
STARTING HOURLY PAY: $15.81

The Fitness Floor Attendant for the Community Center is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the fitness area, assisting members with equipment usage, and providing excellent customer service. This role is vital in ensuring that community center members have a positive and productive experience during their visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Greets members as they enter the fitness area, answers general questions, and provides guidance on proper equipment usage.
- Monitors the fitness floor to ensure a safe workout environment, promptly addressing any unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Maintains cleaning supply levels for fitness equipment in storage including paper towels, cleaning solution, etc.
- Inspects and cleans fitness equipment and fitness floor, reports any maintenance issues, and ensures all equipment is in good working condition; assists with maintaining accurate records, such as cleaning logs and maintenance reports.
- Learns, follows, and applies all Community Center rules, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience: No experience is required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Licenses & Certifications: Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications, or the ability to obtain within the first 30 days is required.
Environmental or Physical Demands : This job requires f requent standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move fitness equipment.
