Position Summary
Reports to the Administrative Program Coordinator and works under general supervision to perform difficult and responsible clerical work. Performs duties of the lead or direct report with wide latitude utilizing independent judgement.
Pay Grade: 43
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
Minimum Qualifications
- Four (4) years of appropriate clerical experience, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical experience; and possess a high school diploma or GED; OR
- Three (3) years of appropriate clerical experience, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical experience; and one (1) year college study (30 semester hours or 36 quarters)
- An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience
- PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handles all calls, scheduling, and filing for the Employee Counseling Services department.
- Provides clients/employees with appointment and scheduling information utilizing discretion in a timely manner.
- Prepares intake packets and ensures clients' completion of packets upon arrival.
- Prepares monthly statistical reports to access department's value ratio.
- Maintains client survey, compiles information and prepares reports of findings.
- Creates and prepares various correspondence, memos, letters, and reports.
- Orders office supplies and maintains inventory.
- Opens and timely distributes incoming mail for department.
- Performs related duties as required or directed.
KSAs
- Knowledge of standard office business practices.
- Knowledge of the function and operation of standard office equipment.
- Skilled in data collection software and reporting programs
- Ability to perform accurate arithmetical computations
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize the workload
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with Sheriff's Office employees, other municipalities, and public citizens during daily activities.
- Ability to resolve problematic situations in a professional manner.
