RATE OF PAY: $29.894 - $34.387 per hour, DOE.

JOB STATUS: Regular, Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Technology

BARGAINING UNIT: MFPE - Federation of Missoula County Employees

DEFINITION : Performs work to develop and administer applications for computerized information and reporting systems in the Technology Department. Works as a subject matter expert in the Missoula County software systems.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES : (The following are intended to illustrate typical duties; they are not meant to be all inclusive or restrictive.) Develops information on workflow and work processes in County departments. Develops applications configurations to meet workflow needs. Develops business process workflows for electronic content management systems (ECMS). Consults with other administrators, programmers, analysts and user representatives in the administration of software systems. Documents applications and platform specific information for complex computer software infrastructure including business applications. Provides support for systems. Performs administration and documentation of records management software. Assists in developing, expanding or modifying systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow. Maintains and supports multiple projects and deadlines. Provides cross-training and direction to the information systems staff and County departments in software applications and business needs. OTHER DUTIES: Performs related work as required or directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Requires a Bachelor's degree.Degrees best suited to this position are computer science, information systems, and software engineering. Requires two years of experience administering, implementing, and maintaining computerized information and application platforms.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Continued employment will be contingent upon passing a criminal background check that will include fingerprinting, conducted by the Missoula County Sheriff’s Department.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS : The work is performed at a desk and requires extensive key boarding. Work requires little physical activity and the employee commonly remains in an office setting. May involve light lifting (10-20#) and visiting a variety of office sites. May include working after hours or on call.
